Bk's a Blue Demon- Career loading and adulting process initiated

Brooklynn Swanson, DePaul University
Headed to College

My Story

I know it's been months since her graduation but with so much going on, we were unable to throw Brooklynn a graduation party. Now that things have calmed down and after many have asked about celebrating her achievements, I found this website as an alternative to hosting a party for her as our home is currently undergoing some updates and we cannot accommodate a party.

Brooklynn or "BK," as all who know and love her, call her, has always been a smarty arty pants (lol). When she attended private grammar school, she did so well she was awarded a scholarship. As she got older, she balanced being a softball player, a high school student, a college student and ASM employee. She is also an amazing artist. Super talented in drawing, painting, creating artificial nails, makeup, cosplaying, editing videos, the list goes on but, academics were her main focus. On May 22, 2026 her high school career came to a happy and successful ending. Her hard work was recognized and she was accepted into all 4 of the colleges she applied to: Loyola, Columbia, DePaul and Northern Illinois and received many great scholarships.

BK has decided to take up her spot as a DePaul Blue Demon and starts classes this week. At DePaul, she will be studying Psychology. She hopes to add a minor in Music soon and find a way to intertwine them as a career. There is no doubt in my mind that she will apply her creativity to doing so, reaching her goals and living out her dreams happily. While she will not have to move anywhere or set up a dorm, we all know how expensive it is to be a college student. Gas, supplies, a new wardrobe, public transportation, SNACKS, fees, books, lunch, coffee for long nights, tuition (for the remaining amount not covered by scholarships) are all part of the expected/unexpected college expenses. To ease her into this next BIG chapter in her life, help avoid the anxiety that comes with it, help allow her to graduate with no loans, and show her how proud we are of her accomplishments, we invite you to this little online "graduation party" registry. Anything is very much appreciated. Thank you for the love and support over the years.

A little note from Brooklynn

Time flew by. I can't believe I'm here and I wouldn't be without the love and support of my family and friends. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
