GradFunded Terms of Use

Stripe may also require a parent or legal guardian to provide information and assume responsibility for the connected Stripe account before payouts can be enabled for someone under 18.

By creating an account, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and belongs to you.

You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account. If you believe someone has accessed your account without permission, contact us as soon as possible so we can help.

To keep our community safe, you agree not to:

• Create a fraudulent or misleading registry
• Impersonate another person
• Provide false or inaccurate information
• Use the platform for illegal or harmful activities
• Interfere with the operation or security of GradFunded
• Misuse or abuse the platform in any way

All contributions are voluntary personal gifts and are not tax-deductible.

To help protect everyone using GradFunded, cash gifts are securely processed and reviewed before becoming available for payout.

GradFunded uses Stripe Connect to securely route eligible cash gift payouts to graduates. Stripe Connect is payment technology designed for online platforms and marketplaces that need to manage and send payments to their users.

To receive cash funds, you must complete Stripe’s secure onboarding process and connect an eligible bank account or debit card. Stripe may require identity-verification information before enabling payouts.

If you are under 18 years old, Stripe may require a parent or legal guardian to provide information and assume responsibility for the connected Stripe account.

For the protection of graduates, families, and gift givers, every cash gift completes a minimum two-business-day security review before becoming available for payout.

Once funds become available, they are routed through Stripe Connect to your connected payout method. The time required for the funds to arrive depends on Stripe, account verification, and your financial institution’s processing schedule. A first payout may take longer while the account is being verified.

Banking and identity-verification information is securely collected and managed by Stripe. GradFunded does not store your full debit card or bank account information.

Stripe Connect is used for cash gifts and GradBoost payouts. Digital gift cards and purchases completed through outside Wish List providers are handled separately.

Occasionally, GradFunded or its payment providers may need additional time to review a transaction or verify account information before releasing funds.

This may include confirming payment details, verifying identity, checking payout information, or reviewing unusual account activity.

These security measures help reduce fraud, protect payments, and keep GradFunded safe for everyone.

Gift givers may also choose to leave an optional tip to support GradFunded.

Graduation gifts are generally considered final once payment has been successfully processed.

If a payment is later identified as unauthorized, duplicated, fraudulent, disputed, or reversed by a payment provider, GradFunded may adjust the transaction or temporarily hold related funds while the issue is reviewed.

Refunds may be provided when required by law or approved by GradFunded after reviewing the circumstances.

Gift card numbers or redemption details will be placed in the Wallet. Nothing is mailed unless GradFunded specifically states otherwise.

Your information may be used to operate GradFunded, manage accounts, process gifts and payouts, provide customer support, improve our services, and protect the security of the platform.

Payout and identity-verification information submitted through Stripe is collected and managed by Stripe according to its policies and security procedures. GradFunded does not store your full bank account or debit card information.

Please review our Privacy Policy for more information about how personal information is collected, used, stored, and protected.

If an account is used in violation of these Terms or in a way that could harm another user, payment provider, or the platform, GradFunded may temporarily limit, suspend, or close the account.

Users may request account closure by contacting our support team. Certain records may be retained when needed for legal, accounting, security, payment-processing, or fraud-prevention purposes.

We cannot guarantee that the platform will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at a particular time.

GradFunded relies on third-party services, including Stripe, banks, payment providers, email providers, text-message providers, and other technology partners. Their processing times, eligibility requirements, policies, and availability may affect certain GradFunded services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, GradFunded is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages related to use of the platform.

This may include delays caused by Stripe, payment providers, banks, technical issues, account verification, security reviews, or circumstances outside GradFunded’s reasonable control.

When updates are made, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page.

Continued use of GradFunded after updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

Some links on the platform, including items added to a registry’s Amazon Wish List, may be affiliate links. If you or someone else clicks one of these links and makes a qualifying purchase, GradFunded may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you or the purchaser.

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

Items added to an Amazon Wish List are chosen by the registry owner. GradFunded does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the availability, price, quality, or condition of any linked product.

Amazon and other outside providers handle their own orders, payments, shipping, delivery, returns, and customer service. Purchases completed through outside providers are not automatically added to GradTracker.
